My Little Pony Inspired Eye Makeup How To

Yesterday was a pretty gloomy Monday here in Los Angeles, so I decided to dive into my kit and brighten things up! Mainly my eyes ; )
You can thank my daughter for the inspiration behind this one.. I think Rarity has become my favorite My Little Pony Friendship is Magic character. She's the one with the bling on her butt!
Below are the steps I took, and makeup I used to achieve this fun eye makeup look.



1. Apply Nars eye shadow base from lid to brow bone. Let set.
2. Apply MAC White Frost all over lid and in crease.
3. Using Makeup Forever black waterproof eye pencil draw your cut crease line above your natural crease. Extend it up and out past your outer lid.
4. Using MAC Carbon and a small lining brush softly apply directly over the black eye pencil you just applied (your cut crease) blending upward only.
5. Blend MAC Nocturnelle above cut crease line up and outward, also using a lining brush apply under bottom lash line..
6. Blend Ben Nye Amethyst over Nocturnelle above your cut crease. Blend all the way up to brow bone.
7. Blend MAC White Frost under brow bone.

8. Blend blend blend. The key to achieving success with this makeup is patience and blending. Always take a step back and look at your entire face in the mirror throughout doing this makeup, not just focusing close up on your eyes. This will keep everything in perspective.

9. Next apply Makeup Forever Black Waterproof eye pencil under bottom lashes at lash line. Use a small round brush to blend and soften the line.
10. Using Lime Crime Quill liquid eyeliner above top lashes. Line from inner eye lid all the way out past outer end of lid. Curving upward, don't forget to create the cat tail!
11. Lots of Black mascara!
12. Carefully apply Lime Crime Blue Milk liquid eyeliner on the waterline under eye. Line all the way from inner tear duct waterline and continue out past eye following under the black cat tail you made earlier.
13. Don't forget your false lashes!

Voila! You've got some fabulous deep smokey purple cut crease eye makeup.
